High temperatures Thursday reached 85 or 86, a degree or two below what I anticipated, but that's not too bad.
And today, we'll have a heavy shower or thunderstorm threat at any time. We've already had some in central and south Jersey. It can happen in any part of the state. Otherwise, clouds and some sunshine with highs back in the 80s today, but a bit cooler at the beaches.
A shower or thunderstorm is possible in the first part of the night until midnight or shortly there after. Then partly cloudy late tonight with some lows in the 60s but low 70s or so in urban and coastal areas.
It'll be humid this weekend with clouds and some sunshine. There's still the chance of a shower or thunderstorm either day. Not that it can't happen Saturday, but Sunday may have the better likelihood of that. Weekend highs in the 80s, but somewhat cooler near the ocean.
We have a tropical depression on the verge of becoming a tropical storm in the Caribbean Sea, but it's going to be becoming inland before it can develop much. And a disturbance out in the far eastern Atlantic must be watched for signs of development in the many days ahead. That could threaten the Bahamas, Florida, or southeast coast by later next weekend.
Have a great weekend!
