Alan's Weather- 08/01/11

Weekend high temperatures were in the low to middle 90s. Yesterday, for example, it reached 95 in Newark and at Trenton-Mercer County Airport. There was some relief as it only reached the low to middle 80s at best, along the beach and boardwalk with a weak sea breeze.

Well, temperatures today will be topping out on the low to middle 90s, perhaps the mid 90s with sunshine. Humidity levels will be moderate, not overall, but certainly not comfortable. There will be an eventual sea breeze along the beach and boardwalk at some point this afternoon and not right away. It should turn southwest to southerly, which means a sea breeze for the shore today.

We'll have some clear skies for a while tonight and temperatures will be in the mid 60s to low 70s.

We look for some sunshine for a while tomorrow with temperatures again in the low 90s with some relief near the water. It looks some showers or thunderstorms will threaten at some point later Tuesday night, and especially on Wednesday.

Wednesday could be wet, at least for a while around here. More weather coming up tomorrow.
