A word about Emily, which is flirting with the south coast of the island of Hispaniola, will cross that island over the next 12 hours or so and weaken. But, assuming the circulation center survives, it'll start to slowly strengthen as moves into the Bahamas over the next couple of days. Eventually, it turns northwest-north-northeast and off-shore. It'll be just far enough off-shore to spare the southeast coast any problems. But, we'll watch.
We'll have our weather condition in New Jersey gradually dry out with clouds breaking for some sunshine this afternoon. Highs in the low 80s, but cooler 70s at the beaches with a wind off the water.
Partly cloudy tonight with statewide lows from 62 to 72, and maybe a few 50s in far northwest New Jersey.
A mix of clouds and some sunshine tomorrow with highs in the lower 80s, but cooler again near the water.
Variable clouds Saturday, not there that can't be any sunshine, but showers will either arrive by Saturday afternoon or hold off till Saturday evening and night. Maybe we'll get much of the day in fine.
And then, damp to start Sunday morning. We may improve Sunday afternoon. Sunday's highs in the 80s, but cooler again near the ocean.
