Alan's Weather 08/08/11

The weekend forecast worked out reasonably well, although it was a few degrees hotter than I expected on Sunday- 93,94 in Atlantic City and Newark versus the around 90 or so that I had predicted.

Well, today we're looking for some sunshine with some patchy clouds and enough of a west-northwest wind to hold off any sea breeze. Low 90s, at least, perhaps as high as 94 to 95 in spots. As I said, it'll be near 90 or better along the beaches today. Later this afternoon and this evening there's the chance of a shower or thunderstorm, especially in central and northern New Jersey.

Tuesday starts off with perhaps some early sun, but it's going to become partly to mostly cloudy very quickly. And it looks like increasing chances Tuesday of some shower and thunderstorm activity at any time in the late morning through the afternoon and into the first part, actually, much of Tuesday night.

Wednesday we come out of it with clouds breaking for some sunshine, although another shower or thunderstorm can't be ruled out. It'll be near 90, at least, away from the ocean for Wednesday.

That's the weather for now. More weather coming up tomorrow.
