Alan's Weekend Weather - 09/09/11

Thursday's high temperature reached near 80 at Newark Liberty Airport. Everybody else was in the mid to upper 70s as expected with some showers around, especially near the Delaware River.

Now today, we'll have clouds and some sunshine with humidity. There's the chance of a shower or thunderstorm today, especially near the Delaware River. I'm not sure it's going to be pop up near anywhere else, but we'll see. A few highs in the lower 80s, but cooler along the coast.

Katia will be moving away off-shore 400 miles or better from New Jersey today, and will be producing some high surf and dangerous rip currents today, as well.

Now, there's the better for a few showers or a thunderstorm for overnight with most lows in the 60s.

And it'll be cloudy to partly sunny Saturday with still the chance of a shower or thunderstorm either day. Lower 80s Saturday and 70s to perhaps 80 Sunday, but it'll be cooler both weekend days near the ocean.
