High temperatures yesterday reached 85 or 86. Atlantic City Airport reached 85, and Newark Liberty Airport reached 86, which was above the normal high of 78 by a fair degree.
Temperatures today will be in the middle to upper 80s, but cooler near the beach and boardwalk with some sunshine. Now, there is some suggestion again that there might be a shower chance, mostly near the Delaware River in South Jersey and northwestern counties by late this afternoon or this evening. I think that's pushing the envelope. I think the threat of any showers across the state will wait until later tonight.
Certainly, Thursday looks to feature clouds with just intervals of sun or brightening skies, and the risk of passing showers anytime, possibly thunderstorms. Temperatures will start to cool off tomorrow, starting out perhaps in the 70s, and then falling into the 60s in the afternoon with a northwest wind.
It's going to be quite cool for Friday with some sunshine and some patchy clouds, and temperatures that might not be out of the 60s for highs on Friday.
And over the weekend, a similar kind of weather pattern will hold up, though it should be rain free.
