Alan's Weather - 09/19/11

The weekend forecast worked out reasonably well. High temperatures yesterday only reached the upper 60s to around 70. The normal high is around 76 or 77, so we were a little bit below that. Of course, we had lots of clouds and just some sunshine.

Well today, we are looking for variable clouds and some sunshine, but it should be rain-free. Temperatures will be in the upper 60s to low 70s, but coolest near the ocean with a wind off the water.

Showers will be approaching by daybreak Tuesday morning in parts of the state, at least central and northern New Jersey. I'm not sure there will be very much in southern counties to start with tomorrow morning.

But there will be the risk of a few passing showers during the course of Tuesday with high temperatures in the low or middle 70s. Again cooler near the ocean.

Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday look to feature at least some semblance of unsettled weather. That is clouds, some sunshine, and still the risk of a shower.

Nothing too much going on in the Tropics. One disturbance well east of the Windward Islands needs to be monitored for signs of development.
